The article refers to the analysis of construction works pricing system which is applicable to the Belarus Republic. There were made some methodological recommendations and propositions of price commercialization which go beyond the functioning economic mechanism in the Republic.

The article analyses the level of investment expenditures from 2004 to 2009, with a particular attention to the absorption level from EU funds by tourism and leisure industry. The analysis covers two periods: 2004 – 2006 and 2007 – 2009 corresponding to the periods of EU financing. Classification of financial resources is by types of fields – solid investments, influencing gaining comparative advantage of the region. The index of investment expenditure per capita was used to measure the dynamics of absorption of funds by tourism and leisure industry. The growth value of investment expenditure per capita, combined from all analysed funds together, was adopted as a basic mean. The analysis of investment value in tourism and leisure proved its dynamics to be 4.5 times higher than the average in the Province. Values of this index helped to determine tourism as a priority in the region’s development. The research was carried out in the form of supervision over execution of regional policy. Further research will concern studying economic effects of these investments measured with number of tourist visits. It will be possible to notice first results between 2012 and 2013, after the investments carried out in years 2007 – 2009 have been accomplished.

On the basis of tourism marketing literature analysis this paper discusses relationship between a destination’s image and tourists’ loyalty behaviors with intermediary role of need for variety. This discussion is based on the cognitive-affective theory of tourist satisfaction and on the theory of “optimum level of stimuli”. Author indicates the differentiation of tourists’ loyalty behaviors depending on the need for variety sensed by them. The necessity of tourism market segmentation based on the criterion of the need for variety is a main postulate of carried out discussion. This should serve, among others, to creating of attractive destination’s image for customers with different needs for variety. Whereat, in accordance with contemporary trend of tourism market - with the superiority of the need of quest of variety during the tourist stay, the complexity of expanded tourist offers based on the novelty should underlie construction of destination’s image.

The article concerns tourism infrastructure of the national parks and landscape parks in podlaskie province. Tourism infrastructure includes: material base of tourism (buildings and facilities) and supply of general infrastructure independent of tourism occurrence in a specific area. Tourism infrastructure is usually in conflict with the regulations of environment protection which accepts human activities only in the least degree. Therefore, in the most valuable protected areas the tourism infrastructure is developed quite little. Nature is the most valuable resource of podlaskie province. Around 30% of the region's land is protected by law. Podlaskie province abounds in four national parks (Białowieski, Biebrzański, Narwiański and Wigierski), three landscape parks (Suwalski, Łomżyński the river Narew and the park of Knyszyn Forest), 88 wildlife reserves and 15 areas of preserved landscape. In a region of north-east Poland there is a concentration of natural resources that are unique. The touristic use of protected areas in podlaskie province should be both permissible and, at the same time, harmonious with the environment protection.

The fundamental objective of the paper is an evaluation of BMI and WHR indicators of university students. The tests involved 85 male and 225 female students of Bialystok University of Technology and the University of Economics – all participating in obligatory P. E. classes of 2 hours every week. There were single cases of android obesity in the population.

Variable clustering is a useful tool for data reduction. It removes collinearity, decreases variable redundancy and helps to interpret results of an analysis. In the paper, Variable Clustering Node of SAS Enterprise Miner is described. An example of clustering of households expenditures on food, alcohol and tobacco is presented.

The article presents the opinions of the teaching staff of 16 Public High Schools located in Bialystok on the idea of their occupational development and their participation in it, the main determinants of the developmental process and conditions and possibilities of occupational fulfillment. The information was collected on the basis of the questionnaire carried out in year 2008. In the research took part 160 educators (86% women and 14% men). The authors also describe the activities of the management staff of the researched high schools promoting occupational development.

The policy promoting the generation and development of the clusters is considered to be one of the fairest form of supporting the regional and local development. The short period of functioning of the market economy in Poland and no experience in supporting the clustering do not seem to explain the small number of innovative clusters.

In the article an attempt was made to identify possible variants of marketing function’s location in the structure of administrative and multiadministrative enterprises. The focus was on practical structural solutions in marketing zone and also there were identified typical barriers which make the development of marketing function impossible.
